This 140 sqm beautifully renovated two bedroom apartment just around the corner from the exclusive Via Veneto and The Spanish Steps. The apartment is in an ideal location, it’s extremely spacious with beautiful high ceilings, lots of windows, tons of light throughout and everything one needs for a comfortable stay. Original details are featured throughout creating a perfect blend between old and new. Carefully selected design furniture combined with beautiful photos recreate a space reminiscent of Rome's era of glamour.

When entering the apartment you will find a hallway which leads to a beautiful dining area with Le Corbusier table for 10 people, a large cozy living room with built-in bookshelves and a large comfortable couch that can be turned into 3 single beds with orthopedic mattresses. This leads to the first of the two bedrooms; it sleeps up to 4 people and has an en-suite bathroom featuring shower and tub.

Allowing complete privacy the other bedroom is located on the opposite side of the apartment and sleeps up to 2. There is a large walk-in closet with enough space to put suitcases. One of the best features of this room is the extension of a beautiful glass enclosed space with table and chairs which make it suitable to enjoy the morning coffee while reading the paper or relax with a glass of wine after a long day. The bathroom which has a large window and shower is separate and immediately outside the bedroom. Therefore accessible by those guests in the second bedroom and living room.

The apartment features free wi-fi, continuous hot water (a rare find in Europe), air conditioning in both bedrooms and living room. This makes it ideal for summer months.

The well equipped kitchen has a gas stove, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, cutlery, pots and pans, dishes, glasses, etc.

The apartment is strategically located. It’s only a few minutes from the nearest metro stop Barberini This makes easy to get around the city quickly.

It can host up to 9 people.

On our day of arrival we were stood outside the apartment with no one to greet us. Waited for an hour for someone to turn up and of which the gentleman was not understanding us at all. The air conditioning and Wifi we had specifically booked this apartment for was a complete disappointment. There were only 3 mobile units in the whole apartment which were not adequate enough and leaking water. Wifi did not work throughout our whole stay. Upon handing over cash payment to a gentleman who eventually let us in to the apartment, he advised we need to checkout at 11am and said this is not possible for us as our flight was in the evening and the transfer was booked for pickup at 1600hrs. We called Julia and explained the situation and that we were not advised of the checkout even though our return transfer was booked to collect from apartment at 1600hrs. We were told someone will call is back...but did not receive anything on the weekend or Monday..after numerous calls to all the contact numbers we had, we eventually had a call on Tuesday morning (the day of checkout) to say we needed to vacate by 11am..hence we left early to find a place to store our bags and of which we incurred further charges. Also the cost of the international phonecalls to various departments/persons to try and sort out the issues. There was no welcome manual and the electrical points were not working and hazardous..found only a few random points that were usable. The apartment kept short circuiting if more than 2/3 appliances were on at the same time..and first time at night time we had to knock on neighbours doors to find the circuit board, which was at the bottom of the building. As Wifi did not work, we requested a refund for this and was told it needed to be authorised by a secondary office/persons and that we would not be able to receive cash payment....even though we were made to pay upfront in cash on arrival. The apartment and service received was very disappointing, and the worst by far in all our European travels.

We enjoyed our time in Rome, despite the heat. The location of the apartment was excellent. Room sizes and cleanliness were also excellent and were as advertised. Our hosts were very responsive and accommodating to our needs. Overall a great experience, thank you. Recommendations: The air conditioning in the suite was under capacity and could not keep up with the cooling loads, especially considering the high summer temperatures. Consider upgrading the system to central or wall AC. Also, dealing in cash was very inconvenient. Perhaps consider Credit Card options for customer convenience. Otherwise, we really enjoyed our stay. Thank you Julia and Florienne.
