We stayed in this appartment for 4 days with our 2 children and it was absolutely perfect. A very nice location in the very centre of Rome. Very typical appartement, we felt at home, it was clean and confortable. Perfect to visit the city and come back there to rest. The owner helped us find a parking for our car very nearby the appartment.

My husband and I and our two grown children stayed here in September 2010. The apartment simply MADE our trip to Rome! The airyness, flow-through plan, and perfect kitchen/dining/terrace spaces were gorgeous. I cooked in the modern, fully equipped kitchen and at the same time could see my family at the table, or out on the terrace, or through a sliding window into the medium-sized bedroom. The small bedroom has 2 bunks, one of which is shorter than normal; it would be okay for 2 small children or one medium-size adult, but not much storage and no surface space. Didn't matter to our daughter who used the other bunk for her 'table'. Our bedroom was very large, king bed super supportive and comfortable. Love the warm colors and lots of greenery and the long view. Two grocery stores very nearby, restaurants too, and of course good metro and bus right on the cross street. Quiet and safe. Can't say enough good.The owner Steffie is really welcoming and so is the doorman.

The host was wonderful, though the room was not. The bed was very bad; it was an old frame that has on top a newer bulk bed that didn´t even reach the edges of the bed. It was functional but I wouldn´t recommend it.

We are group of 6 persons and stayed in the apartment for 4 nights. Location is the best. Metro entrance is in front of the door. There is a good chinese restaurant & gelateria nearby. We were comfortable and relaxed here. Space was big enough for 6 but had to manage wake up time since there is only 1 toilet. It's be better to have toilet cleaning sometimes during the long stay. We do recommend this place.

If you are looking for a centralized location to all the tourist spots. This is it. Amenities: It has all the basic stuff - Towels, clean sheets, functioning shower area and small kitchen, a fridge, a washing machine and a drying area. A supermarket and several food joints are located nearby. A functioning air-conditioning that will cool all your sumer heat away. Cons: Floor are a little rough on barefoot so please do wear bedroom slippers. Bed is a sofa-bed so it will be a little hard on people who are used to comfortable and soft beds. The ceiling is relatively low, so it may be back aching for tall people in the bedroom area.

Nous avons aimé l'appartement surtout sa situation au coeur de Rome. La deuxième chambre est sans fenêtre et c'est un peu difficile pour certaine personne qui n'aime pas le noir. C'est un peu petit pour 4 personnes. La personne qui nous a reçu est charmante et donne de bonnes indications.

The apartment was in an excellent location near the vatican and very close to a subway station. The apartment was clea, in excellent condition and quite large (we are a family of 5 and we were very comfortable) - the owner was freindly and helpful - I hope to stay there again sometime!

Great place in a great location if your looking for day or night life, and good public transport spots. The place is little but cozy, clean and with lovely details (an awful rainy day we discovered there were umbrellas left for us!). The owner was very nice to us when we arrived. I sure would come back this place when returning to Rome.

This apartment is brand new and also very clean, though it's a bit away from the central station(15 minutes of walk), but all in all it's in a lovely historical neiborhood, with markets in short distance. The owner(and her family) was extremely nice to us, giving all the information of great restaurants(remember to reserve the table before going, 'cause they're really popular) and designer stores where we enjoyed immensely. There were some little problems in the apartments(wi-fi disconnected, kitchen hood not functional, and a lack of curtains in one room), but they were solved right away with the help of the owner. I'll definitely come back should I ever feel a need of Rome again.

Perfect place to stay in Rome. Near metro, accessible to many monuments of Rome and a cozy place to rest after the long walks in Rome. For the next renters, do not go to the Colosseum metro stop, the Cavour station offers better location to find the apartment. and finally give a ten to Alessandro for their reception and treatment throughout their stay.

This is a perfect place for a couple, but it is also suitable for three or even four persons. A lovely and comfortable apartment situated just a few meters from the "Villa Doria Pamphilli" were you can get some quiet relaxation and nice views after a long rush-hours of rome center. It is only 10 minutes to the center by bus, but we have also experience that it is not so far to get there on your feet. We recomend this place for everyone who is looking cosy room for a suitable price as there is everything you need to forget that your are nor at home. Best regard to the landlord who is keeping the apartment in its best condition for every client!

Thank you, we really had a wonderful time in this apartment. These apartments are comfortable, clean, look like photographs. Here was everything we needed: a kitchen with all necessary household appliances, dishes, as well as hair dryer, iron, cleaning tools. Apartment belongs to a terrace overlooking the Basilica. Very convenient location of the apartment, 10 minutes from the Vatican on foot, near bus and train stations. It is convenient to get to all the main Roman attractions. If there is a problem, the landlord is always willing to help.

We had a lovely time here in this very stylefully decoratedl studio. The room is airy and has high ceiling. Windows on both sides, both viewing over an inner court yard. Very clean, well equipped. Modern bath room with shower, toilet/bidet and basin. The landlady was marvellous giving us lots of information about Rome, a map and offered help in case we needed any. Breakfast with croissants, fruit juice and biscuits and facility to make filter coffee. The studio is situated very close to Metro, shops and small restaurants. Vatican, St Peter Basilicum are about 5 min - 10 min walk. Metro connections are great. It was very good value for money and would definitely come back again!

I had a very pleasant experience staying in this charming apt. Mrs. Clarici was extremely kind and helful and even went out of her way to help me in reaching my daughter when I got to Rome (she kindly offered to drive me to her campus when we couldn't reach her by phone!). After a long flight, it was so nice to enter the apt. and find a plate of fresh fruit and italian pastries waiting for me! The apt. was very well loctaed and a short walk to the Lepanto train station. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Rome!

the appartment is really nice, clean and in very good place. you can reach termini station in about 7 min, and if you like walking, you can visit the city even by foots. cafe, sweet shop is all around. it would be perferct if would be more sunshine in the room, but when you only sleep in it - no problem

Great location, nice host. Kind personal ( woman who prepeared breakfast for us) - very nice, knows russian. Breakfast was good. Have to say that its a noisy place. Near Termini station, You can reach it on foot in 15 min. Transport to main places to see in Rome is close ( bus 3 and 71). Around the hotel many restaurants, shops etc. We stayed there for 4 nights, only thing i did not like - no one did not clean up our room un did not change towels. But otherwise it was perfect place to stay.

We were 4 people staying in the appartment in August 2011. The appartment is really very very good if you need a place close to all the main attractions. We could walk to all the places as the location is just perfect! It is spaciuos for 4 people as there are 2 bedromms. Also there is a sofa in the living room where another person can sleep. It was nice to find some coffee, tea, sugar and honey in the appartment when we just arrived. The representative of the owner was very nice and welcoming, spoke very good English. The location of the appartment made our stay in Rome really great! No need for metro, busses! Also the service of Sleeping rome was just excellent - many many thanks!

We had a few very nice days in Rome in this beautifully located appartment! The jewel in the crown is the roof terrace - in the daytime too hot, but marvelous at night or in the early morning. Inside it is very tasteful as well. And the location is terrific: you are close to everything!!!! Very nice place to stay for a family with teenage children!

Lovely apartment in a safe and central area. We were there with two families (4 children), but it was tight. 8 adults would have been impossible, a few beds are too tiny. The big plus is that you can park for free in front of the building on a white parking space in the evening when all the embassy staff have gone. You can then leave your car there for your entire stay. Supermarket and subway only a stone's throw away.

Excelent location, 3 minutes from Fontana de Trevi and from excelent ice cream shops. Photos show real apartment. Landlord gave a map and explained the main attractions. Without Air conditioning: this was a big problem, as Rome was very hot and humid. When you open the windows, the street noise doesn't help.

Mean 9+ is a good score, isn't it? Anna and Aldo are very good hosters. Once we arrived, we were wellcomed with some fresh bibites and other viandas. Regarding the apartamnet itself, it had everything we needed to spend those days in Rome: well positioned, close to the heart of Rome, clean, well equiped. Great position, but deceptively small apartment- we could not even fit our bags up the stairs. They did not leave any cleaning products and only the last few pieces of a toilet roll of our stay - annoying as it was difficult to find a supermarket in the tourist center. In addition the person who came to greet us did not speak enough English for us to understand the terms and get the most out of our stay at the apartment. Other than those few things that could be improved upon, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The apartment was very large and well divised. The view from the window on the fifth floor on Piazza Vittorio Emmanuelle was very nice: we took our drink there every night. It was very warm at the time we were in but the air conditioned work perfectly. The apartment is very close to Termini rail station departure and arrival from Fiumicino airport. We walk everywhere in Roma from the apartment inculding galeria Borghese... The owner was very kind, available and helful. We recommand the place and would certinly return to this place. The apartment is really cozy and comfortable. A bit too far from public transportation, but the king size bedrooms bed just compensates everything. :) I really enjoyed staying there and would come for the second time. Just you need to fix the shower :) Good luck!

I was with Filipino-American friends, a whole family. It was their first time in Italy and their friends in Los Angeles already warned them of the high costs of hotels or bed and breakfast accomodations here. I, too, was awed at the apartment we rented for 4 days and 3 nights. Very spacious, complete with everything (including a washing machine, a big refrigerator and microwave oven!) It is very near the train station and there are wholesale and retail stores where you can buy souvenirs, bags and almost everything at a wholesale price!! The only thing negative is that at night, we had to walk home and some parts were unlighted and many foreigners were drinking in the streets. But perhaps they were just relaxing after a hard day's work bec there had been no problem during our stay. I definitely recommend this apartment.

RMBB03 - SAN PIETRO - MAX PERSONE: 5

We booked apartment RMBB03 in Rome for 4 nights from 6 July to 10 July 2011. We paid the necessary deposit and the booking was confirmed on 28 October 2010 ie 8 months ago. On arrival in Rome we were placed in a different unit which bore NO resemblance to what had been booked. The advertised unit was a modern ground floor apartment and included breakfast. We were put in a third floor unit and no breakfasts were provided. The unit was not particularly clean. There were dirty dishes in the sink. There was laundry lying about. The dirt bins inside the unit were full when we arrived and stayed that way during our stay. Overall cleanliness was not satisfactory. To make matters worse we were forced to move on our last night in Rome. This meant packing and unpacking which besides the inconvenience was a waste of our valuable time. We travelled through many cities during our 6 week vacation and our visit to Rome was the only occasion where we were not happy and in fact spoilt our time and memories in Rome. I feel a refund and apology would not be unreasonable based on: Wrong unit and certainly nowhere near the standard of the advertised one booked. Being forced to move. No breakfasts being provided as advertised and paid for. We stayed at this apartment for 5 nights, and I think it was a very good choice.We were 2 families with 3 teenagers and it is a spacious, nice and clean apartment. It´s situated good,walking distance to almost everything. The landlord Barbara was very nice and helpful when we had some problems with the luggage. I can really recomend this apartment!

Muy céntrico, silencioso, limpio y confortable. En cuanto menaje, le haría falta una sartén, pues no había ni una. Mi mujer quedó atrapada en el ascensor durante 5 minutos, pero sólo fue un susto. Muy bien equipado de sábanas, toallas, manteles, menaje, etc...hasta cadena de música, el TDT de la habitación más pequeña no funcionaba (aunque no se va a Roma a ver la tele). Muy recomendable.

I didn't have the appartment showned on internet site .The view wasn't on the street but inside the backhouses. The strong smell on Indian cooking when we openned the window because the restaurant on ground floor. The landlord was nice, on time with the appointment. The kitchen is verry small. Popular neighbourg to be careful in the nignt . Well located.

We had an absolutely marvelous time. The flat could not be better located, allowing us to walk everywhere without feeling we were ever too far from the flat. For further excursions, such as to Ostia Antica, there was excellent public transport nearby. Yes, it is up five flights, but that did not really bother us - though we were out of wind when we got to the top, even after 12 days! But we are 71 and 68! The bed was comfortable and large enough for us. It was great to have the refrigerator and stove (though I am not sure all the burners worked - but we didn't need them all) and, had we needed it, the washing machine. The air conditioner was a great boon towards the end of our stay as the weather heated up. The one thing we would suggest is that the mixer on the shower be repaired as it is very hard to get a stream of water that is not either steaming hot or absolutely cold. The chief selling point, after location, is the lovely rooftop deck. It made the flat feel much more spacious and we had breakfast out there every day. Alessandro had pointed us to a great bakery for rolls and pastries, very near the flat. He also gave us some terrific suggestions as to places to eat. Another bonus was strawberries ripening in the pots on the deck which added to the breakfasts. The transfer of keys and arrangements went very well also. What is good? even if the apartment is positioned in a "motley" area, is very near to the metro and the railway station. It has the market just over the road, is silent and clean. And, not to forget, it has very friendly owners. What is not so good? The continuous smell from the indian restaurant from below (even if the food from there is good) and the lift, which is small and with some problems. As a conclusion, for us, with three children, it was good and we recommend to others the apartment.

Even though the apartments were nice and the location brilliant, I will not rent an apartment thru this firm again. The management was extremely disorganized and ill-prepared. Apartment looks exactly like the photos, everything you need is there, Carrefour food market just around the corner and bus stops and train station are really near too (good bus-connection to other places in the city). Apartment itself was clean and nice, everything you'd wish for (an iron, hair dryer, vacuum cleaner and even salt and sugar with dishes in the kitchen). It has a nice cozy porch for eating outside (and you can see Basilica from there). It really is only few hundred meters from Vatican, about 30-40 minute walk to Trevi, Spanish steps or Colosseum. I strongly recommend this to anyone looking for a great apartment to stay in Rome with a good quality for the price.

The location was brilliant, right in the middle of the historic town, amongst all the restaurants. The apartment was clean, but after arrival we realised that it stunk of sewerage and the smell from the bathroom was revolting. Also, the owner does not speak English and should not rent an apartment to non-italian speaking foreigners. Objections: the kitchen has no hot water in the sink, and not enough pots for cooking. The bathroom is awful close (narrow) so that two skinny people can barely pass. The curtain on the tub is barely moving. Conclusion: The quality / price ratio is completely satisfied.

My students and I had a very nice stay in lovely Rome. The apartments RMAP 78+79 were nice, clean and affordable. They were slightly smaller that you'd think from the pictures, but in Rome, you do not want to stay inside!! If you do not mind people making a bit of noise during late evenings, this is a great place to stay (my 18 years old students loved it). Via dei Sabelli is a typical Italian street with cosy coffee shops, and small, affordable restaurants. For us, the convenience of having the university area close by, was the main reason why we wanted to stay in San Lorenzo, but after having stayed there, this is an area I would like to visit again for more than one reason. The apartmenst are close to Termini, where you can travel by bus, train or underground to all the main attractions. If you like walking, the appartments are situated pretty close to the historic centre, where you will find many tourist attractions as well as the" Shopping streets" Via Corsa and Via Nationale. Termini also have a lot of shops. We would very much like to thank the people behind Sleeping Rome, as well as the owner of the apartments. They were all very helpful, and easy to get hold of. We ordered taxi through "Sleeping Rome", and were met by two very nice taxi drivers at the airport. Very nice to have arranged this before you leave home- that way you do not have to worry about what the cost will be!

Overall it is a really good apartment, specially considering the relation between price and quality. Rather small apartment, but has all the necessary facilities in kitchen and also hairdryer which is kind of important for women and even an iron. Apartment is really near to the pyramid itself and therefore very easily reachable from subway station. Only thing that when taking shower the water was not the hottest but rather just warm or even tepid, but still totally bearable. We also received lots of extra blankets and towels, so we were satisfied. Recommend!

Very good choice to travel to Rome. We really booked other apartment, but there were some problems with our other apartment and sleepingRome offered us this choice, even this was more expensive, with the same price. Thank you for all. The apartment itself was awesomely well located, at the center of the city. There was a supermarket very close, and it was really clean. The woman who had to give us the keys to get in the apartment was waiting for us on saturday night and show us everything we need to know. Very good choice!!

We just returned from our holiday in Rome and we were over the moon !! This apartment was far behind our expectations as we hadn't expect such a good location, service, facility, etc. I would not recommend more than 6 people to stay there given the total size of the apartment. Plus the kitchen is really small so do not plan any "big cooking" and sitting around the table in the evenings. I have put 10 in each column regarding the fact that we really enjoyed our stay. I think this apartment is the best choice if you are looking for the combination of adequate price/privacy/quality/good located hostel. You will never find all these in a hostel. The only thing missing was the internet access. I hope I will be back some day !! Thanks

Hello, we stayed in Rome this summer in your appartment. It was an appartment / souterrain. It was very moisten. The blankets from the bed were wet. There was funges in the bathroom and bedroom. There was a bad smell in the apparment. Because the appartment was wet, even the floor became slippy. We tried to dry the apparment with the heater on but that didn't help. We had an happy stay in Rome but the apparment was not good. We are sorry, it is the first time that RMAP04 receive a bad report. We forward to the owner your comment. RMAP53 - TREVI - MAX PERSONE: 5

Good location for everything, right on the main pedestrian way between the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain. Unfortunately this means that the bedroom has a choice between air and noise. The kitchen is narrow and just functional for breakfasts and picnic type meals. Wouldn't want to try cooking there with no saucepan worthy of the name, no microwave, no kettle, no toaster....... Given the English speaking background of so many clients, having no kettle or toaster is just uncaring. A good point was that the washing machine was good and new. There is a food supermarket on the corner one minute away. The apartment has a lot of storage space. The bath is slow draining (shower above bath). For a couple with one child or teenager, a positive is that a single bed can be set up beside the front door, giving a pseudo private sleeping area separate from the dining/living area.

RMAP28 - SAN PIETRO - MAX PERSONE: 6

We stayed for 7 nights in June 2010. The accommodation far exceeded our expectations and was much larger than we thought it would be and very comfortable. It is in a very residential area of Rome and we enjoyed the feeling of being a "local" for the week. Although the apartment is some way from the centre of Rome, we appreciated the distance as it was much quieter and more relaxing. Directions from the Airport would have been helpful, as the the driver of the transfer vehicle did not know where the apartment was located and had to keep stopping and asking people for directions. He also charged us €55 although the agreed amount when booking stated €45. We were tired from travelling and assumed that this "new" price was correct and did not challenge it. However, when we returned to the airport the following week, we paid far less for a private taxi. Having checked the amount with SleepingRome, it seems that their driver was dishonest and they have graciously offered us a €10 discount next time we book with them. SleepingRome also made a mistake with the booking, informing the owners of the apartment that 2 people would be staying in the apartment and consequently only 1 double bed was made up. I had requested accommodation for 3 single beds as I was accompanied by my 2 adult daughters. Fortunately, this was quickly rectified by the owners and did not spoil our stay. We would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to stay outside central Rome.

RMAP77 - SAN LORENZO - MAX PERSONE: 23

The apartment was up to our expectations in most ways - spacious enough for three and clean. The equipment needs to be looked into - odd sets of glasses and sum mugs one of which was cracked, a coffee-maker that we were unable to operate and no kettle. It would be a good idea if the landlord provided some basic amenities like toilet soap and a roll of toilet paper. We were reluctant to use the detergent/washing-up liquids in the kitchen cupboard as all the labels were in Italian which we could not understand. The landlord did not give clear instructions on checking-out - only that he wanted us to leave by 10 am. We expected him to come to the apartment to collect the keys and check any damage and after waiting for over an hour decided to call him (calls are very, very expensive!). It was only then he told us to put the keys in a mailbox on leaving. We were not really bothered by the restaurants in the vicinity; in fact we had a very good meal in the nearest one.

I think that apart from the cleaning off the bathroom and the miserable condition of the shower curtain it was a good choice. I would recommend fixing the bathroom ASAP because after the shower it gets flooded and in the winter time it’s not good at all!

What a wonderful apartment! Much roomier than expected; our family of 4 welcomed the space. Very clean, close to transportation and very friendly landlord. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location, near the termini station and easy to find public transport. Very clean and nice rooms in the apartment. Apartment is quiet even it is located on a quite popular street. You can find restaurant with good quality for low price just by stepping outside. Be sure to have the exact amount of euros when arriving because the landlord doesn´t carry too much change on him and therefore makes you pay more than was agreed in the first place and you won´t get the change money back. Breakfast is very plain and you have to go to a restaurant for a breakfast or early lunch.

RMAP195 - SAN PIETRO - MAX PERSONE: 11

There are a few things I would like to point out: First of all - the kitchen was not as clean as one might have rightfully expected. Had we planned to cook most of our meals 'at home' (which we had not planned anyway), all of the pots and pans would have had to be cleaned before use. The cutlery - knives, forks etc. - and cups and glasses were clean enough, having just been in the dish-washer before our arrival. The bedroom in the basement (which my wife and I got to use due to bad luck in the draw with the other three couples) - which never sees the light of day, was damp and slightly smelly, as of stale air, and the cleaning could have been better, to say the least. A few other minor drawbacks: The garden could not quite live up to the picture shown on the web-site, but then again, everything looks better on paper, doesn't it? Gian-Lucca only gave us two sets of keys (he said he only had the two), which was rather inconvenient to us on occasions when the four couples decided to go in different directions. (The mobile phones came in handy in these cases). We should have liked to have had one set of keys for each couple, which you might suggest to the owner for future renters. On the up-side: The treatment your office gave us during the whole thing was very good, bordering on excellent. Please give my best to the girls too. The taxi service was very good too, on time and on schedule. All in all, though, we have a very nice stay, as we always have had in your fair city. The fact that the via San Damaso is outside all the official maps of Rome, that we could find, gave us a bit of trouble at first, but we managed in the end. All the best from all 8 of us, Einar

Appartement tres agreable, tres bien situe dans un quartier calme. Il est proche du Tibre et a 10 min du centre ce qui nous a permis de profiter de la ville a pied. Seul bemol, la salle de bain pourrait etre rafraichie, les autres pieces ont ete refaites recemment (il me semble) Great place in a pleasant area (reasonnably quiet and close to the center), the only critic would be against the bathroom wich could be renewed as it seems a bit old...

We have spent wonderfull time in Rome visited most beautiful historic places. It was very easy because we have stayed in perfectly located RMAP04 apartment. Our children enjoyed to slip in 'balcony bed' where they had good view for TV;-) It was fantastic time for our family! I can recommend this apartment as the perfect place to visit Rome!

Quartier sale et mal fréquenté : vitre de voiture cassée pour tentative de vol la 1ère nuit. Pas rencontré le propriétaire qui s'est permis de passer à l'appartement en notre absence. Sinon la situation serait intéressante compte tenu de la proximité de la gare et donc des arrets de bus et métro. Mais nous sommes rentrés décus de la prestation.

The place was very nice and cosy, and the landlord ,Gabriel friendly , and was ready to help anytime. The room was cleaned everytime we got home, the bed arranged, the thrash taken out. At the end of our stay we even got a present. All in all, I recommend this accomodation to everyone.

The apartment has 2 bedrooms but only a small living room. Only 2 of us stayed there. I believe that if four people were there it would have been quite cramped in that small room. The bathroom is very long and narrow due to the design of the building - getting past the bath tub needed us to walk sideways! The kitchen had a full size cooker with an oven (which we didn't use) and a washing machine, which was very convenient. The location is perfect for us (but would have preferred it to be less than 2 flights of stairs up :-). Borgo Pio is a marvelous location - about 5 minutes from St. Peter's Square, many restaurants available right in the street, across the road from a food store and a green grocers, an Internet Cafe at the bottom of the street, and a number of religious souvenir shops there too. The apartment was very clean (although the very old tile floors show their age). We were satisfied that we received our money's worth.

Though the location was great, and the overall cleanliness of the apartment was ok, the bathroom shower and shower curtain were disgusting. The shower curtain was EXTREMELY moldy, as were several of the tiles in the shower portion of the bathroom. A simple and thorough cleaning of this area, along with a new shower curtain would improve this apartment tremendously! Also, the apartment was advertised as having A/C and washing machine. The A/C was broken, and from the sign on the wall, it looks like it has been broken a while. The AC would work for a few mins at a time, then it would shut off, and you had to turn off the power to the entire home and then turn it back on again. The washing machine's door was broken, and it was extremely hard to open and close the door. Just a warning to those wanting to wash their clothes - using the washing machine is tricky. Other than that, the apartment itself was adorable, and if these few issues are addressed by the owner, we would recommend this place.

Wonderful and convient place to stay. Kind and organized landlords. I would reserve with them again in the near future. Very close to the Vatican, shopping, metro and bus/tour transportation. I was concerned because the apartment was on a main street but it was not a problem at all.
