Reference Code: 100 I stayed for 15 days in this appartment in piazza bologna with 3 rooms, kitchen and bathroom. Not only is a very comfortable appartment for even 5 persons but the neiborhood is very safe and quiet, (aristocratic in many ways), metro very near and very easy place for the things a tourist likes to see. I give 9/10 as a price to value evaluation (because nobody is perfect). Great choice for my opinion.

Reference Code: RMAP80 I had a great stay in Rome in July! The apartment is very comfortable and nicely decorated. The bathroom is clean and comfortable enough, bedrooms are cosy, both with big closets and comfrotable beds. The apartment is very close to Termini and there are meny nice restaurants in the area (I especially recommend nice little pizza-place around the corner - delicious!!). The owner is very friendly and helpfull. One drawback (a big one if you're staying in the hottest week of the year...) - the airco didn't work properly and we had only two fans to cool ourselves.. The landlord is very helpful, as we know he lives very close to this apartment so there were no problem even our flight was delayed 3 hours. Unfortunately the landlord speaks only very basic English. Rooms were comfortable and clean, only nuisance was small kitchen. We stayed with two children 11 and 10 years and we consider, that it is good place to stay with family.

Reference Code: I arrived in Rome on a Friday night & at 31 via aurora about 7pm. We were cordially met by the owner and shown our suite. We found it to be the same as in the photographs, and clean. Some of the ceiling lights needed to be replaced (they were not working) and we could not get the little portable fridge to work, so could not keep the bottle of champagne we had bought, cold. And the tv is very old, doesnt work properly and should be replaced. There were plenty of towels and towelling gowns were provided which was nice. The light continental breakfast was adequate. We found the area to be "safe" and very central - which was what we wanted. We have no hesitation in recommending this accommodation, and would stay there again when in Rome.

The apartman was very comfortable for us(couple), well-equipped with all household items (even coffee!). The bedline and towels are spotless. The apartman is very close to the metro station and can be reached by feet from the city centre as well. There are nice cafes, trattorias and gelaterias around, and also a good grocery shop 200 ms away. We hope to come back soon!

Reference Code:RMBB29. I stayed at St Peter's B&B, a 10min walk from the Vatican City, 1/2 block from the Metro station and bus service. The apartment very clean and comfortable. The private bath was functional and very clean as well. Before making this reservation, I shopped around for a few weeks. This apartment was the best value in a great location. The continental breakfast included a small variety of pastries and expresso. A little something to get you started for the day. I would recommend SleepingRome to anyone who doesn't expect a fancy place to stay. You are only there to rest and shower, this place was well worth it!

Reference Code:RMAP77+RMAP78 Acabamos de volver de un viaje de 2 días y medio a Roma. Ha sido un viaje relámpago en el que hemos andado, visto, disfrutado, andado, comido, vivido, andado, comido... Los apartamentos están bastante bien… hay que decir que el día que llegamos la primera impresión del barrio fue de -espero que haya taxis por la noche y que me dejen en la puerta de casa…- pero esa impresión se esfumó en un par de horas. Los apartamentos están en la zona universitaria, por lo que poco a poco comenzó a llenarse de gente y la visión del barrio paso a ser otra completamente distinta. Se puede hacer vida, desayunar, comer y cenar cerca de casa y por poco dinero. Eso si, cuidado con las duchas, que no sean muy largas porque los últimos entrarán y saldrán fresquitos fresquitos. Otra cosa que hay que tener en cuenta es la distancia entre los apartamentos y la primera boca del metro, que está a unos 35 min y a la estación de Termini otro tanto. En cambio paradas de bus las hay bastante cerca. Respecto a la comida decir que se come bien sin soltar mucho dinero, además en cualquier sitio, no es del todo cierto eso de tener que alejarse de los sitios más turísticos para encontrar buenos precios, solo hay que saber buscar. Los helados ha sido uno de nuestros vicios, y por mayoría absoluta hemos de decir que la mejor heladería esta en -Via di San Simona 70- y se llama “Gelateria del Teatro”. Si tenéis suerte los propietarios (un matrimonio muy majete) os mostrará el proceso de elaboración. La ciudad no nos defraudo en absoluto, todo lo que de antemano se sabe que se a de ver gusto, y lo que encontramos sin previo aviso… nos sorprendio. Eso si, algo muy importante, la compañía también hace mucho… ( eskerrik asko eta hurrengorarte bidelagunok) P.D. A llevar calzado cómodo ya que la mayor parte esta adoquinada, por lo que nada de suelas finas…

Reference Code:RMAP 194. A very nice small back building, placed very close to everything in the Jewish Ghetto. The outdoors was so beautiful and inside it was OK. BUT the shower didn't work. We couldn't shower because we got electric shock from the taps in the bath, and when we arrived we have to clean the drain to get the wather out of the bath, it was very very dirty. Off course we contacted the landlord, but he was very arrogant and sayd that we just have to clean the drain with a fork and if we would be sure not to get electrict shock from the bath we could turn of, hole the electricite in the house.I don't think he belived what we told him. So we couldn't bath for a week, even when we turn of the electricite we get shock. That was not OK. Susanne Høst

El apartamento es realmente tranquilo y sólo se echa en falta un microhondas, la ducha, como en muchos lugares, dificil de regular la temperatura, lo peor (nosotros estuvimos en enero) es la calefacción, que es por aire caliente y además, no se puede graduar, sólo puedes desenchufarla. Cuando llegamos, el apartamento estaba congelado y costó calentarlo. Hay una tienda de alimentación biológica a unos 100 metros y una normal unos 50 metros más adelante. El barrio es muy bonito, animado y lleno de bares y restaurantes, si bien creo que está mal comunicado por transporte público, aunque siempre puedes ir a los lugares turisticos andando, si prefieres (sólo es cruzar el río). Yo le pondría un 7.

Reference Code:RMAP55 On our return home I contacted you with regard to the very poor standard of this property.The apartment was dirty-the fridge had not been cleaned and there was rubbish on the veranda from work that had been carried out on it. Both shower screens were in a dangerous condition- in danger of falling off. As they were both glass this could have resulted in a serious accident.The bedlinen had holes in it and there were not enough towels and those we had were of a very poor quality. The oven did not work and the only means of cooking a meal was a mini grill which would only have held two small pieces of steak.The apartment was for 5+ people!The kitchen equipment was basic.As I said in my original response I will think twice about using your company again. Reference Code:RMAP05 This small apartment is very well located in Rome (10 minutes of Colosseo, less than 20 minutes to Trevi fountain, etc.). Everything is easy to walk to. There is an Internet place just a few doors from the apartment and a grocery within 5 minutes walk. The subway is really near (less than 5 minutes) as well as Termini station. There is air conditionning for the summer which can be used as heating system during the winter. The apartment is clean, well renovated. Very practical. I would rent this apartment again.

Very nice room, toilet and building altogether! Breakfast was at a café around the corner. It was a bit crowded, but had the local feel - not a tourist place. We like that. It's very close to Termini station which was very convenient for us. We walked on foot for about 10 minutes. With trolley suitcases not a problem. Thank you very much! Reference CodeCode:RMAP 185 I would like to share with you our terrible experience during our short-term stay in Rome.We have booked this apartment two and a half months before our vacation. It was agreed with the owner of the apartment that we would pay the deposit at first and then the rest of the amount as soon as we got there. And so it happened. Unfortunately things didn\'t work out that well. The photos of this internet site showed a very cosy and neat apartment, ideal for staying a few days in Rome. That wasn\'t so true though. It was unbelievable DIRTY. Dust everywhere. Used sheets, that were DISGUSTING with white spots...The towels were dirty as well and noone wanted to use the bathroom under these circumstances. In the kitchen was a toaster(not that we wanted to use one) which was full of remainings of burned bread,probably been for months in this condition.The corners around the windows were full of dust and spiderwebs...I wondered which was the last time the owner cared about cleaning them. Plus, we were told that we might get a blackout(which is normal for him...)and that we would have to go outside of the building in order to fix this on our own.After all that it was impossible for us to stay in a place like this.It was clear that the owner didn\'t know anything about basic,at least, hygiene.At one point he also claimed that he did not have enough time to clean and prepare the apartment,eventhough he knew about our arrival two and a half months ago.He offered to bring a cleaning lady and fix this,but it was already too late and besides we could not trust his words.So we asked for our money back and of course he denied.At the end and after a lot of pressure he accepted to give us 100 euros back(out of 530 that we payed him that day).From what I understood,he gave us only 100 because that was the only money that he has on him.In 20 minutes he had already given away (or whatever)the money we paid him.I feel very sorry till this day that we did not go to the police department responcible for tourism and report him so that he would not be able to do the same things in the future to other unsuspecting tourists. I could not believe that someone would expect PEOPLE to stay in this incredibly dirty apartment. It is such a pity that we did not take any pictures so that you would understand exactly what I am talking about. The owner inform us about a new cleaning service for this apartment after this negative report. At the moment we don't accept new reservation for this apartment for 1 month to verify the new cleaning standard. I am sorry for your bad experience with RMAP185 and thank you to share it with us. rmap 184-185 - location was great right beside Vatican & short walk to center of Rome, bus stop outside front door; apartment beautiful & well equipped, great beds. Owner very helpful. Only complaints are wiring in flat meant couldn't use both hot plates at once, had microwave but couldn't plug it in anywhere, shower in desperate need of repair gushing water and couldn't have bath as alternative as no plug - we had 5 people so hot water always ran out. Finally front security door very tricky - often had to buz other tenants to get in! And yet we still loved it! Reference Code: RMAP165 We had a wonderful stay at this apartment. It is actually quite large and the pictures are quite an accurate representation of the apartment. There are 3 bathrooms and it is very clean, and the location is pretty well perfect for anyone touring Rome. You are less than a 5 minute walk to the Vatican, Camp di Fiori and Piazza Navona, and probably about 15 - 20 minute walk max to the Spanish Steps or the Colliseum. We spent 5 nights here and never took public transportation once. I would most certainly recommend this apartment and would stay here again.

Positive note, the young owner is very nice, he gave us the address of very good restaurants ... Dear Mr. Lorent, Renting an apartment in one of the most popular tourst areas can sometimes also mean it won't be the most silent place. However, San Pietro area is usually one of the calmest ones and we don't normally get complaints of this sort. The best of that apartment is the situation- close to the San Pietro. It wasn`t bad bu the deposit of 100 euro we ve never received back. All of us 5 people were very disappointed. Davide Ricci who was our tender disappeared in the time we have an appointment to give back the keys and didn`t give back our money. I send him my bank account to send my money but still dont receive them.Even he was switched off his telephone. That was my last impression of Rome before to arrive to the airport. I had many friends who likes travelings and would like to come in Rome but didnt offer your company because we were laid and i didnt want to make them the same impression.Unfortunately that is my opinion. Shower and toilet are combined. Not a place to spend a lot of time. But, it is clean, modern, inexpensive, and right in the middle of where you want to be. We did enjoy ourselves.

It was charming and "old world" enough with high ceilings and large, tall windows; yet with every modern convenience and beautifully decorated. We all loved it.

Reference Code:LMAP79 We found our apartment pretty much perfect for our requirements. It was comfortable and clean and Sig Magrini was very kind and helpful to us when we arrived. Please do not believe the less than complimentary stuff that is written about San Lorenzo on some other websites. It is a delightful neighbourhood, full of shops, bars and restaurants and even has its own daily market. Yes, there is graffitti, but where in Rome is there not? San Lorenzo makes a refreshing contrast to the, of course wonderful in a completely different way, tourist areas. It does get pretty lively on the streets at night, but it is always good-natured and we and our two teenagers were so well exercised by our days sightseeing that we slept well anyway. Whole experience thoroughly recommended!

Reference Code:RMAP125 in Trastavere This apartment is very, very small and is located in a basement so it is very noisy and the smell of gaz comes directly in the small window. The "kitchen" is in fact a one iron heater with a small fridge, a tiny table with a hard bench and one person has to sit on the bed to be able to eat. The bathroom is also microscopic, so small in fact that everything gets wet even the toilet because there is no separation between the two!!! When you take a shower the room stays humid and uncomfortable for the rest of the day. I do not recommend that apartment specially if you have a tendency to get claustrophobic, it is way too expensive, noisy, dark and saturated with gaz smell.

La ubicación del apartamento es muy buena está al lado de una boca de metro.

Reference Code:55672 We stayed in Rome for 6 weeks in June/July 2009. We were 2 adults and 1 teenager. The very best thing was the tranquility, absolutely no noise from the streets. Both bed rooms (one of them is a dining room that can be made a bedroom when necessary) had air conditioning that worked very well. The apartment is placed in the heart of the ancient/historic Rome. There are to very small, but modern bah rooms. The bed rooms are very well equipped with linens and towels. The beds are comfortable. The dining room, i.e. second bed room, has no window. We missed that. The kitchen is very narrow, but has the equipment needed, even a brand new washing machine. The hostess was very kind, and we easily reached her on the phone. As we stayed in Rome for a study period of 6 weeks, we would have appreciated some space for luggage and stuff. We would not hesitate renting this apartment again, may be rather for a shorter holiday than for more weeks studying.

Only five minutes walk and you can reach best restaurants in Trastevere and Campo di Fiori, ten minutes to Pantheon... The appartement itself was big enough for 5 people. There were two negative issues in that appartement. The set of dishes was only for two people and pans and other cooking equipments were in terrible condition. I don't know if any cleaning was done after previous visitors, however we couldn't see the difference. We also missed hot water from shower, but that was fixed very quickly, when we made call to SleepingRome office.

I think we got room RMAP18 instead. But we will definately come to Rome again and book apartments throught "Sleeping in Rome". And in this area. The appartment is not very comfortable for example: Many guests who stayed before left their food in the house. The kitchen is not very clean. There was agreed that we had to leave the appartment at 15.45, but when we came back at 14.30 the new guests were already in the appartment so whe didn't have time to pack and clean up. We all felt very uneasy about it. Whe are very satisfied with the service of Sleeping Rome, there was a misunderstanding about the transfer back to the airport, but thanks to the help from Sleeping Rome the problem was solved to our satisfaction

The sheets had holes in them.Both shower screens were dangerous as they were made of glass and were coming away from the wall. The oven did not work and all that was provided was a 40cms mini grill that would have held 1 steak.The untensils provided were totally inadequate.It was a major undertaking to make a cup of coffee. The freezer had not been defrosted and was unusable. The place had not been cleaned properly. There was rubbish from repairs on the balcony. I have to say that it is unlikely that I will use your company again We are very sorry for your report. The location just a few steps away from the Vatican is every tourist's dream, and the metro stop is also just a short walk. The interior is pretty; the kitchen is well equipped. The apartment is offered for 8 people, however, since there is only one bathroom, it is probably more ideal for a smaller party. Esto todo con relacion a la intermnediaria senorita Valentina. Muy amable el propietario que nos resolvio el problema. CONTRATEN DIRECTAMENTE CON EL PROPIETQARIOS! Para cuatro noches de estancia se preveía un precio de EUR 120 por noche, para dos personas, para un piso pequeño en Via del Corso, en la calle principal en el centro de Roma. La cliente decidiò irse a la mitad de su estancia porque no estaba satisfecha de estar en un apartamento pequeño y con una escalera de caracol. No obstante la escalera se vea muy claramente en las fotografías y no obstante sea evidente que el piso es pequeño, la cliente ha sido reembolsada en lo inmediato para las dos noches que no quería jamás utilizar, de acuerdo con el dueño del piso y solamente por cortesía pura. Es absolutamente falso que el cliente pagó más de lo que estaba escrito en el sitio, búsquedas hechas poniendo fechas diferentes y en períodos diferentes pueden, naturalmente, llevar consigo precios diferentes. Sleepingrome ofrece un servicio profesional, con un call center en diferentes lenguas disponible 6 días sobre 7, a través del servicio mail, teléfono y fax o con skype; atende al cliente y le protege en cada situación, tiene los precios visibiles claros y iguales para toda la clientela. Kitchen and bathroom very small but sufficient for our needs. Minus: It was not clean. The mat in the bathroom was very dirty, and the floor in at least one of the rooms was too (when I mopped up some water that we spilled I was shocked to see that the cloth I used was black!). I would not recommend this house during hot weather. There is no traffic noise, and the windows are good, but if you need to leave the windows open to get air, you are assaulted by the smell from the all-night bakery downstairs and the booming sounds from the machinery and the air-conditioning from all of the nearby buildings. The girl working nightshift when we arrived was mistaken about our fist payment but handled it very nicely as she corrected he self on our return to the B&B a week later, whitout us asking about it. The transferservice was VERY good. The driver helped us. When we arrived very late there was nobody answering the doorbell the driver wouldn't leave until we found the nightcrew. But the cafè where we were meant to have breakfast was horrible! The cameriere was very unpolite, he wouldn't take our order and was neglecting us until we left. Then he came running after us asking why we were leaving... NOT a good place!

I attended Rome for a conference by myself and booked a B&B through SleepingRome, not knowing what it would be like. I must say I was quite pleased with the service. The room was in a very nice area, it was clean, and the hostess was extremely helpful in every way. Because I did not speak Italian, the evening I arrived (which was very late), she walked me three blocks to the bus stop to show me exactly which bus to take to Termini and to the location of the conference. The rate was very reasonable and I would definitely use the service again. I also highly recommend to anyone else.

Not enough linen provided - (no sheets for sofa bed). No kettle to boil water and kitchen implements were all dirty. Appartment was clean enough on entry. Position was fantastic. Access to appartment early was imposible. I suggest you advise overseas visitors to stay at airport until access is possible! I was left stranded (no one around), for four hours with luggage after a 30hour flight and still waiting for the appointed time. Taxi driver told me he would be there in 5 minutes! I understood it to be at 10.30?? It was confusing. I would love to stay there again but would require a little more attention to detail. I advised the land lord of this. Many thanks we loved Rome. Dear Virginia, we thank you for giving us this information. We called the landlord for some explanations about this trouble. Since we were in need of a baby crib and had other needs, since we were travelling with our baby daughter, we recieved fast and excellent service in regard to this. We also had troubble paying through the net, but this was sorted wit fast replies through e-mail. As all other questions. This help through the e-mail was of great value to us. At arrivel the baby crib was not yet at place but our "landlord" at site was very helpful with arranging one immidatly as well as helping us with other useful information. He was always at hand, but never interferring. Our stay was lovely with very clean rooms and great people staying at the same place. I also lked that there was people from all ages staying at the plaace. It felt secure and relaxing. We loved our stay! I will recomend everyone, both old, single, couples and couples with children. It took us less than 10 mins walk to the supermarket and metro station - Ottaviano. Taking bus from Termini station to the apartment was also very convenient. The landloard was nice and helpful. He waited for us until mid-night on the first night because our train was delayed. He also helped us to get the lugguage up to the 3rd floor which was without lift. It did meet our expectation.

It was big enough for two. It was VERY guiet and the situation was perfect. The shops and marketplace were near and it was possible to go to the historical center, Vatican and Trastevere on foot. And in the neighborhood there was very much to see. I think our favorite was Palazzo Spada!

It was nice to leave the noise of traffic and hubbub behind when entering the apartment. From the courtyard one hears children playing, parents sometimes speaking. It was very quiet at night. When we were there from May 10-19 the jasmine was in full bloom, and its perfume was wonderful. Massimo was very nice, very competent. The SleepingRome people answered emails with admirable promptitude.

Reference Code: RMAP75 I would like to thank both SleepingRome and the owner of the flat Ms. Maura Carosielli for the excellent services and making our stay carefree and enjoyable. The flat is convenietly located in Campo de Fiori area, just a few steps away from the river and Ponte Sisto bridge, 15 minutes away from Piazza Venezia and Campidoglio, 5-10 minutes away from the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, 20-30 minutes away from the Vatican or Catel Sant' Angelo (by foot). Public transport and trourist bus routes are also very close. It is in an old building and offers contemporary lifestyle facilites. It could host about 7 people, but it was just right for 4. My only concern is that it was a bit dark inside. As Campo de Fiori is a lively area, especially at night and during the weekend, it may be a bit noisy in the flat. There is a great choice of places to eat and drink in the vicinity, the fruit and vegetable market on Campo de Fiori, the famous Forno and even a small food shop next-door. Last but not least, airport transfers are organised by request. Thanks and enjoy your stay!

It was equiped will all the necesities: practical kitchen, bathroom with a shower (hot water). It is a lovely street, relatevily quite. We needed to schedule a transfer on our last day from the apartment to the airport, so I called the office on Saturday, and Lorena was so helpful and kind to schedule a pick-up for us. Reference Code: 60727 We very much enjoyed our stay in Rome and RMAP35 was quite comfortable and cozy. Ms. Maria was quite friendly and helpful when we arrived. We enjoyed privacy and authentic feel of having a flat rather than a hotel, and having our coffee Italian style every morning. The only problem we had was the heater. We were instructed not to touch the heat and pretty much sweltered at night for the first week. It turned cold the last two days and for some reason the heat quit working those two days. But regardless, RMAP35 is a nice locations with room for 5 easily. It proved to be quiet and the smell of the Indian cooking downstairs every day was charming. Good access to the Metro, plenty of resturants. We would stay again.

Reference Code:Apartment RMAP 140 We recently stayed for 3 days in this apartment in the San Pietro area. It was very conveniently located just 5 minutes walk from St. Peter's but in a quiet street. The apartment was exactly as shown on the website. It had been recently renovated so was very well appointed,clean and comfortable. After walking all day seeing the sights it was great to come back to the apartment. We were also able to park our car right in front of the apartment. Because it was in a residential area there were many local bars, restaurants and bakeries which were very reasonably priced. We really enjoyed our stay and have already recommended this place to friends who will be visiting Rome.

Io lo trovo ideale per trascorer qlk giorno a roma.

Due to damage caused by working in the adjacent apartment, water in B&B 11, was not available. Unfortunately this happened on the day of your arrival. The owner (Mrs. Lotti) was immediately assist you. She founded an alternative solution in the same area, and she informed sleepingrome about your situation. For two nights (on five) you shared the bathroom with a single room. You optained a reduction price of EUR 50 (instead of EUR 330, you paid a total of EUR 280 for 5 nights.), she paid the difference from her pocket since the new accomodation cost more. Certainly this is not what you want from an holiday and thank you very much for your patience, we are very very sorry. However, Mrs. Lotti (RMBB11) has given you all possible assistance, sleepingrome monitorized your situation and you spent less than expected. A bit of seriousness in our actions could be recognized. Nos muestra el apartamento y está hecho una cochambre. Nos dice que en una hora estará limpio y nos tememos lo peor. Efectivamente, la suciedad del apartamento repugna. Apesta a humedad mezclado con tabaco. Los armarios de la cocina están pegajosos. El suelo no se ha fregado desde hace meses, tal vez años. Los edredones de las camas, mugrientos y pegajosos, despiden mal olor. Hay hormigas en la cocina. La alfombra de la entrada, al pisarla, emana una nube de polvo. Asqueroso. Es la primera vez que viajábamos de aparamento y el Sr. Bornigia nos ha quitado las ganas de repetir. Estimada Sonia, muchìsimas gracias por el comentario que nos escribiò. A propòsito del horario, le quiero recordar que ustedes nos comunicaron que la hora de llegada iba a ser las 14.00 y asì mìsmo se le dijo al señor Bornigia. Para lo que tiene que ver con la limpieza del apto, hablamos con el dueño para que la situaciòn no se repita. De todas maneras el señor Bornigia nos asegura que lo que se lee pertenece a la verdad. Igualmente nos parece poco sensato que desde el momento que ustedes llegaron a la estructùra, no nos hayan contactado de ningùna manera para informarnos de lo ocurrido. Nuestra oficina estuvo abierta desde el 7 de abril que ustedes llegaron hasta el 11 de abril y en ningùn momento ustedes nos contactaron para resolver la situaciòn. (Discovered only after we paid full rent.)Hot water in shower but no way to keep it from flodding bathroom floor. Oven did not work, but owner offered to send repairman if we'd tell her when we would be there to meet him! in all, a disaster. Thank you very much for the comment already sent in December. Everything went fine only had a couple of small details. The upper room needs ventilation as it smells like "humidity", and the sheets for the beds need as well to be cleaned right before the arrival of the guests as they as well smell like humidity or like being stored for long time.

Two things I have to mention: warm water runs only when you open the water in the bidet. For us (ok, 7 girls:) it took 2 days to find this out, till then we gave ourselves a lick and a promise:) In the bathroom the water runs very pourly. Reference Code:RMAP144. We have had a beautiful time in Rome, the apartment was located very well, only 5 minutes walking to the Saint Pietro. The metro was also nearby. The apartment was quiet, no noise from the traffic. The coffeemachine is (for dutch people) a real challenge, but the coffee was very nice. Breakfast was included but not very special: toast and marmelade, placed in the cupboard. No supplements after day 1. If we visit Rome again, we sure will book the same apartment.
