I was in the appartment for 6 nights in August and we were two persons. In general, I would say it's ok and will suffice for a low budget stay. Pros: location is good and convenient. Comfortable for two. Everything works alright, though infracstructures are a bit old. The owner is accessible and helpful. Cons: It's humid, so you need to put the air conditioning (or heat in winter, I suppose) to keep it dry. It's a ground floor appartment so there's little natural light. Humidity doesn't allow the clothes to dry (it may take up to two days) in case you do the laundry, and there's no place outdoors to put the clothes. There's a patio that's neither accesible nor possible to use, but it has many plants, so if you leave any window open you will probably have to deal with mosquitos, slugs, or centipedes. Hard to ventilate too for the same reasons. You want to avoid anything coming into the house so you never open the windows. The cooking pans are not very suitable for cooking as they're not anti-adherent so the food gets all sticked. However, the cookware in general is sufficient for very basic cooking (coffee, boiling eggs, etc). No toaster either so your bread will be like chewing gum if you leave it on the counter. And last but not least, the garbage buckets for the entire building are in the hallway, very near the appartment's entrance door, so you have to be careful with flies (and other flying insects) that could possibly enter the appartment if you keep the door open for too much time.

Amazing apartment with a great location. Only downside was that the courtyard was unavailable.

Very nice and neat old style apartment. A great place. Nearby Termini and within a few minutes you can reach the historical city center. Special thanks to Paola Mazzola. Evaluation- ten points.

We had a very pleasant stay in Rome. The appartment was great! It is situated close to the Colleseum in a quit street. We slept well because it was quiet and the bed was good. If you seek an appartment fot two persons it is a very nice play te stay.

Very good location right by metro and Termini station is just 5-7 min walk. Colosseum and Roman Forum is nearby too. To be fair this apartment is in a walking distance from all the main tourist attractions, restaurants and bars. The flat is quiet and clean and all essentials are provided. The only downside was no WIFI at the time we were there as the router was broken. Unfortunately it was not fixed at the time we stayed there. Communication with owner was good, she was very helpful and responded quite quickly to my messages. The other small unpleasant surprise was lack of access to the outside patio due to some construction works being carried out. It was not a huge issue but something I'd like to be informed upfront. All in all we had a superb time and I can definitely recommend this place for being in a great location. Extra points for period decor and very nice and helpful owner Paola.

We had a very pleasant stay in the appartment of Paola, it is very nice to start your trip with an Italian welcom and introduction of the enviremont. Location was fine, short walks to forum and Colosseum and also the part of the city with the Piazza's is in walking distance if you are with adults only. Metro is very near for an early and not to crowded visit to the Vaticane. We can recommand the appartment for a small family, it is to small for four adults I think.

We' ve spent a wonderful 5-days holiday in Rome. It was perfect from all the points of view: from the reserved airport transfer, the apartment' s owner, Paola, the apartment which turned us back in time, the location, the people of Rome, the food, the "gelato", even the weather and above all, of course, the Roman atmosphere and the Vatican which overwhelmed as. Thank you Valentina and "sleepingrome", thank you Paola!

Very central and clean appartment. The wifi does not work properly and is a problem since you might need to reset it 2-3 times in an hour. There is a smell from the drains, but remember this is the central part of Rome and the building in ancient. Paola is helpful and very nice. She did though stand me up for 40 minutes, which is prosposterous.

We were generally happy with this apartment. Paula, the owner, was very friendly and helpful; she called us during our stay to check that everything was alright. There was a problem with accessing WiFi which she tried to resolve. The only problem we found was the somewhat unpleasant smell from the drains in the bathroom. It was a shame that we were not able to use the courtyard, but understand that this was beyond the owner's control. We found the location very convenient for arriving at and leaving from Termini Station and appreciated the fact that it is within walking distance of Monti, the Colosseum and many other sights.

This is a very cute small apartment located adjacent to Rome's Monti district, about a 10-minute walk from Termini station and equally close to the Colosseum/Forum. While small, it is plenty big enough for 2 people for a few days. It has a few quirks (like the WiFi requiring a reset 2 or 3 times a day), but nothing out of the ordinary for a European apartment in an old building. One of the great things about it is that it is extremely quiet, you would never know that you are a block away from busy Via Cavour. This makes it a lovely retreat between the morning sightseeing and the evening dinner outings. The owner was very welcoming and a great help, she took plenty of time to orient us with regard to the apartment, the neighborhood and Rome in general.

We found this place enchanting. We were fascinated by its atmosphere: it's like you can breathe the air of history. It's not easy to still find authentic accommodations in Rome. If you are looking for something special this is the right place. We recommend it to a family (we were a part of 2, but we think there's enough space for a small family). We thank the landlady for her warm welcome, We'll come back for sure.
